Notice of Effective Date of Proposed Rules for the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners

Pursuant to Tenn. Code. Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.

The Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners adopted proposed rules at its April 9, 2015 regularly scheduled meeting. These rules were filed with the Secretary of State on September 15, 2015 and became effective ninety (90) days after their filing, on December 14, 2015.

These rules included a general cleanup of language; exam procedure cleanup; they reduce the engineer intern application fee from fifty to fifteen dollars; and they allow professors to use their teaching experience to count towards their practical experience requirements for registration. The new rules are now available at http://www.sos.tn.gov/products/division-publications/recently-effective-rules-and-regulations.

If you have any questions or concerns about these proposed rules, please contact Ellery Richardson, Assistant General Counsel, at (615) 741-3072 or electronically at Ellery.Richardson@tn.gov.
