Notice of Public Rulemaking Hearing for the
Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners (“Board”) will be conducting a Rulemaking Hearing on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. CST. This rulemaking hearing will be held at the following address:

Nashville, TN 37243
The rules provide detail regarding the mobile shop requirements for barbers and cosmetologists including, but not limited to, specification of the application process, fee requirements, sanitation requirements, and equipment requirements. Pursuant to the Tennessee Open Meetings Act (T.C.A. § 8-44-101, et seq.), the above-referenced hearing is open to the public, and you may attend the hearing in person.
