Notice of Rulemaking Hearing for the
Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners (“Board”) will be conducting three (3) Rulemaking Hearings on December 12, 2016:
Rules related to requirements for cosmetology and barber shop managers along with definitions of items used in the practice of aesthetics. A copy of the rules to be considered at the rulemaking hearing can be viewed online at: http://share.tn.gov/sos/rules_filings/10-16-16.pdf.
Rules relating to licensure and registration fees. A copy of these rules to be considered at the rulemaking hearing can be viewed online at: http://share.tn.gov/sos/rules_filings/10-14-16.pdf.
Rules relating to decreasing of requirements for registered barbers and licensed cosmetologists to become licensed in the other profession. The Board will also consider amending the requirements for barber and cosmetology schools to obtain licensure.
