Licensure of Court Reporters
You are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes applicable to Court Reporting.
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (herein “Department”) will be soliciting public comments regarding the licensure of court reporters and the sunsetting of the Board of Court Reporting on Thursday January 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. This period of public comments will be held at the following address:
500 James Robertson Parkway
Davy Crockett Tower, Conference Room 1-B
Nashville, TN 37243
To provide comments to the Department, you may appear in person on January 11, 2024, to make oral comments or may submit written comments to the Department.
Written comments may be submitted through the Department’s online form: https://www.tn.gov/commerce/regboards/courtreport/consumer/comments.html. Written comments will be accepted until the close of business on January 19, 2024.
Comments made during the meeting or in writing will be shared in full with members of the Government Operations Joint Subcommittee on Commerce, Labor, Transportation and Agriculture. The Department may put reasonable restrictions on the period for public comment, such as the length of the period and the length of time that each speaker will be allowed to provide comment.
