Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners Rules Update
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession. These rules may impact you as a holder of a license with the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners (“Board”). The following rules become effective on November 27, 2017. Currently, emergency rules are in effect that contain the same provisions as these permanent rules. Highlights are as follows:
These rules detail the mobile shop requirements for barbers and cosmetologists including, but not limited to, specification of the application process, fee requirements, sanitation requirements, and equipment requirements.
