Peer Review Event Invitation-Revised

I sent this invitation out yesterday but failed to include the time of each event. Also, if you plan to attend the TFACA event and eat lunch on campus, please RSVP to me at Steven.Cross@tn.gov as soon as practical so I can make the appropriate plans with TFACA.

Fire Departments from across the state have submitted their Educational Incentive Pay Programs for evaluation and peer review. Currently, for the 2017 training year, 101 fire departments have submitted 104 training programs that currently equates to 1,140 individual classes. The “Peer Review” events have proven to be a positive way to allow departments to see what other departments are training on and get ideas for their department. These events also serve as a valuable networking tool for our training professionals across the state.

Peer Review events for the 2017 training year have been scheduled as follows:

  • East Tennessee: December 2, 2016 at 9:00 am Eastern Time at Knoxville Fire Department (Knoxville Fire Department Training Academy, 3411 Vice Mayor Jack Sharp Rd., Knoxville, TN)
  • West Tennessee: December 6th at 9:00 am Central Time at Memphis Fire Department (Memphis Fire Training Center, 4341 O.K. Robinson Road, Memphis, TN)
  • Middle Tennessee: December 8th at 9:00 am Central Time at the Tennessee Fire and Codes Enforcement Academy (TFACA 2161 Unionville-Deason Road, Bell Buckle, TN). Please RSVP to me as soon as practical if you plan to eat lunch on campus so I can make appropriate plans with TFACA.

This year we will be also looking over Acadis Lesson Plan module. We will be seeking your input on how to best use this feature while meeting your needs also.

We invite members of the fire service, the commission board, and any other stake holders to attend any/all these events. We look forward to seeing each of you. Thank you to the members and staff of the Knoxville Fire Department, Memphis Fire Department, and the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy for your support by hosting these events.

Best Regards,

Commission Staff
