Notice of Rulemaking Hearing for New Rules of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission

The Tennessee Real Estate Commission is conducting a rulemaking hearing on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. CT. This rulemaking hearing will be held at the following address:
500 James Robertson Parkway Davy Crockett Tower, Conference Room 1-B Nashville, Tennessee 37243
The proposed rules amend the requirements for reinstatement of a lapsed expired license in temporary retirement following the passage of a new statutory provision in Tenn. Code Ann. § 62-13-318 by the General Assembly. Specifically, the rules set the statutorily permissible penalty schedule for those impacted expired licensees and clarify the requirements for reinstatement, including those for continuing education.
