Notice of December 12, 2013 Rulemaking Hearing for Burial Services
(Cemetery Rules)
Pursuant to Tenn. Code. Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession. The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Division of Regulatory Boards, Burial Services Section, is convening a rulemaking hearing on December 12, 2013, in Conference Room 1-B of the Davy Crockett Tower, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, Tennessee 37243, at 10:00 AM, CST. A copy of the proposed rule changes is available for review on the website of the Secretary of State at http://state.tn.us/sos/rules_filings/09-32-13.pdf. The proposed rule changes to be considered at the rulemaking hearing include new rules regarding professional conduct, changes, paper size; and revisions to definitions, requests for exemptions, granting exemptions, notice of changes, and improvement care trust funds.
In compliance with the Tennessee Open Meetings Act, compiled at Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-44-101 et seq., the above-referenced rulemaking hearing is open to the public, and you may either attend the rulemaking hearing in person to offer comments or you may submit written comments which will be considered by the commissioner at the time of the rulemaking hearing.
