Notice of Effective Date for New Rules for
Tennessee Board of Examiners for Land Surveyors
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Tennessee Board of Examiners for Land Surveyors conducted a rulemaking hearing regarding these rules on October 26, 2017 and, following that hearing, filed the Rulemaking Hearing Rules with the Secretary of State on January 11, 2018. These rules will become effective on April 11, 2018.
These rules set forth standards for licensed land surveyors who include the use of Global Position Systems (“GPS”) surveys in their practice. A full copy of these rules can be viewed online at http://publications.tnsosfiles.com/rules_filings/01-12-18.pdf
