Notice of Rulemaking Hearing for New Rules of the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners is conducting a rulemaking hearing on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. CT. This rulemaking hearing will be held at the following address:

The Commissioner of the Department of Commerce and Insurance, intends to amend rules regarding The Tennessee Board of Architects and Engineers. These rules address the retrospective review that was directed by the legislature, and these are mostly updates or cleanups intending to clarify current process. These rules also contain definitions of the professions which the board has spent many years debating, researching, and writing. The purpose of the definitions to is offer more clarity to licensees and non licensees what the board considers to be the practice of the professions on the board.
