In closing, we wish to offer our condolence to the Memphis Fire Department in the recent loss of Lt. Rodney Eddins, 57, a vetern Memphis firefighter who collapsed inside a home while operating at a structure fire. He was taken to Methodist South Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Lt. Eddins served the city and the Division of Fire Services for thirty years.
MFD responded to the fire around 2330 hours on Marigold Lane, the cause of the fire was due to malfunctioned portable fan in the bedroom area and it was determined the home did not have a working smoke alarm. Our condolences to all those affected. RIP. |
