Notice of Rulemaking Hearing for the Private Probation Services Council
Pursuant to Tenn. Code. Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Private Probation Services Council considered potential new rules at its December 4, 2015 regularly scheduled meeting. At this meeting, the Council voted to move forward with a rulemaking hearing. These rules lower the quarterly provider fee, create a code of professional conduct, and add requirements that entities follow their own posted fee schedule and properly supervise probationers.
The rulemaking hearing will take place at the Council’s regularly scheduled meeting on March 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM CST. A copy of the new rules to be considered at the rulemaking hearing is available on the Secretary of State’s website at http://share.tn.gov/sos/rules_filings/01-16-16.pdf.
