Notice of Public Rulemaking Hearing: Department of Commerce and Insurance Regulatory Boards Division TENNESSEE BOARD OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND EMBALMERS
Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.
The Department of Commerce and Insurance Regulatory Boards Division Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers will be conducting a Rulemaking Hearing on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. This rulemaking hearing will be held at the following address:
500 James Robertson Parkway Davy Crockett Tower, Conference Room 1B Nashville, TN 37243
These amendments 1 - Reduce required apprenticeship hours from 40 to 32 hours per week based upon 2021 statutory change from administration bill. 2- Amends professional standards of conduct regarding interactions with the public along with the requirement for a funeral establishment to release human remains when a second establishment is preferred by the family and release is requested.
